FRANZ VIEHBOCK.  The suit was purchased by the current owner at the famous “Russian Space History” auction conducted by Sotheby’s on December 11, 1993 in New York City. The current owner acquired the suit to be used as part of an attempt to break the “sky-diving” record which was achieved (and is still held) by the well known Joe Kittinger USAF ret. in 1960. The value of this incredible part of the history of human space flight cannot be overstated.
