The Fire Arm Safety (FSD) is a new, common sense safety device which securely blocks the firing chamber of a handgun to prevent the presence of a cartridge.  The FSA is protected by 2 U.S. Parents 6,526,684 and 6,578,308 issued June 17, 2003  The purpose of the invention is to protect small children from being injured of killed by playing with loaded handguns that are left unattended.  This situation occurs when the handgun owner does not have or has removed a safety device.  The FSD makes it easy to install and remove by adults making the handgun quickly accessible if needed.  The FSD can be removed using the child resistant locking device in seconds, even in total darkness. The FSD’s has a unique safety twist lock security feature.
